A simple-to-use editor allows you to order your photos, add descriptions and add text. It turns your collection of panoramic and VR-ready photos into a slideshow of navigable scenes, allowing you to create unique 360° narratives. We've added a thumbnail preview to the 'media' section of the StoryMap slide editor. SceneVR is an engaging way to tell stories from an entirely new perspective. This should make it easier for people to know what they are looking at as they move between slides editing a StoryMap. The next step will fix that Imported tile layer of georeferenced map in StoryMap JS. First, we made a simple change to the media section: you'll now see a thumbnail preview of whatever media you've attached to the slide.

map repeats and is tinywhat you’re seeing is the tiled effect of importing a tileset layer that covers only a small portion of the globe. If you prefer not to use a Google account, you will need to manually edit a configuration file and you will need to serve your configuration file and any related media assets from your own server. StoryMap JS is an open-source tool from Knight Lab at Northwestern University. Please note that it is possible to use StoryMapJS without a Google account however, it is not possible to use our editor tool. If you made storymaps a very long time ago and have not used the tool since, we may need to ask you to give us permission to read from your Google Drive to "migrate" your old projects. We used to ask for access to your Google Drive. Originally, the StoryMapJS editor stored your projects on your Google Drive, but that is no longer the case. We don't have your name or G-mail address. We only ask for your "profile," which gives us a unique identifier which we can use to connect you to your projects. This saves you from needing to remember another password, and saves us from having to help you if you forget it. The StoryMapJS editor uses your Google account to make sure that only you can edit your storymaps.
